If you are in to hard rocking Brit rock bands fronted by bad ass female lead singers then this is the band for you. Tonight they will be playing at Bowery Ballroom to celebrate the release of their new album, Neptune, which I personally think is one of the best albums that has come out this year. Be sure to get a hold of the new CD and check out this show!

Lifes Big Changes?

Name Change Celebration @ McNally Robin...... I mean Jackson

McNally Robinson is changing its name to McNally Jackson, and the are launching their new identity with a special party for all of the supporters. Store owner Sarah McNally will be your host for a festive evening celebrating our new name, as well as nearly four successful years as a New York City independent bookstore. There will be some special appearances from some of the bookstores favorite writers, including Colson Whitehead, Joseph O’Neill, Sean Wilsey, and many others. In a carnivalesque switching of identities, these illustrious authors will be serving as bookstore staff: recommending books, serving food and drinks, and more. There will be live bluegrass music from The Strung-Out String Band, and complimentary bubbly for those over 21. And you’ll witness the unveiling of the new McNally Jackson logo throughout the store.
