There was a time when "down, forward, A" meant something; when those who whiffed with the baseball bat rained fire with the joystick; when getting to first base with a girl seemed as improbable as beating M. Bison in two rounds. Before the PlayStation replaced the arcade, Street Fighter II dominated the competitive-gaming arena. Kids practiced for hours at home, hit the local mall to load up on greasy pizza, and then pitted Chun-Li against Guile, Blanka against Dhalsim, and Ken against Ryu — again and again. Williamsburg, BK
718-384-1369
$25 minimum
Reservations recommended
Watch the big game and all the new commercials and wardrobe malfunctions on four screens while dining on a tailgating prix-fixe menu at the wonderful MonkeyTown. Watch the Bears and the Colts battle it out while you sit on your ass stuffing your face with nachos, chicken wings and Miller light - this may be Williamsburg, but you're still an American, god dammit!

Katwalk Superbowl XLI Party
@ Katwalk
2 West 35th St
212-594-9343
Free but RSVP
$30 all you can consume bottles & drafts of Bud, Coors, Yuengling & Wings
Maybe you don't want to watch the superbowl over some fancy nachos and gumbo in Williamsburg. Maybe what you would like to do is to head dangerously near Times Square to mingle with the suits and the tourists while watching the game on two 12' x 12' HDTV movie-size projection screens and three HDTV LCD screens with dolby surround sound. Just be warned - there is nothing ironic about Midtown.
